Hello, my name is Jakesha Hillman, and I am a childcare professional. I am certified in both CPR and First Aid, and I have completed 8 hours of preventative health and safety training.
I have worked with kids consistently since 2014, and was fortunate enough to open my in-home daycare in August of 2018. I worked as a teacher’s assistant at Creative Childcare Inc.in the past, and I am currently working towards my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at San Joaquin Delta College.
Although I love my current business, my long-term goal is to open a daycare centre. As a wife and mother, I understand the importance of providing children with a safe home-away-from-home environment where they feel secure and loved. I am dedicated to giving children personal attention, and encouraging close social interactions and healthy development, both physically and mentally. I hope to have a mixture of different age groups to help children develop their social skills, and improve their confidence. It may be a job, but I make it my personal priority to ensure all the children under my care at any given time achieve their physical, social, and emotional potential.
Like I previously stated, I am a parent myself, so I know how hard it is to leave your children in the care of someone else, which is why I strive to make parents feel as comfortable as possible leaving their children in my care. We all want someone who is reliable, responsible, caring, trustworthy, and loving looking after our kids, and I can confidently say that I embody all of those attributes.
My hope is to be able to do this on a larger scale, in order to make a difference in more children’s lives. Children are our future, and it brings me great joy to play a role in preserving those futures.
